A massive Strigoi attack has put the school on high alert, and now the Academy's crawling with Guardians—including Rose's hard-hitting mother, Janine Hathaway. And if handto- hand combat with her mom wasn't bad enough, Rose's tutor Dimitri has his eye on someone else, her friend Mason's got a huge crush on her, and Rose keeps getting stuck in Lissa's head while she's making out with her boyfriend, Christian! The Strigoi are closing in, and the Academy's not taking any risks….This year, St. Vlad's annual holiday ski trip is mandatory.

But the glittering winter landscape and the posh Idaho resort only create the illusion of safety. When three friends run away in an offensive move against the deadly Strigoi, Rose must join forces with Christian to rescue them. But heroism rarely comes without a price… "

I did read the first book, but long ago, if you were wondering :). Well, the first book ( Vampire Academy ) was in my opinion OKAY. Frostbite however was great!. I fell in love with it. It was so good, I honestly could not put it down. I really really loved it. I'm almost speechless at how good this book was. I loved Adrian!, he is one of my favorite charecters ( now, I'm reading BLOOD PROMISE, which is bk#4 in the series). I love his bad boy exterior, but at the same time he is sweet and innocent( in a way, but definately sweet and sensitive!, I don't think drinking alchohol almost 24/7 can make you innocent! ha ha! ). The book really goes into the relationship between Lissa and Christian. I've allways pictured Christian as one of the "bad boys" from Degrassi, a blonde one, which is weird, being that Christian has black hair. I loved how the book went RIGHT into it in the beginning of the book, it didn't rush anything though. Most books take a few chapters to get "intense." I am loving the series, and I cannot wait for Spirit Bound to come out in May!. I can honestly say, Frostbite has really made me love the series a lot!

HUSH,HUSH by Becca Fitzpatrick

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 211px; height: 320px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_nYNgO2PMOQI/S04o4lZNGsI/AAAAAAAAACw/dukWomYupCo/s320/hush-hush-cover.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5426319553603640002" />

summary from barnes and noble: " For Nora Grey, romance was not part of the plan. She's never been particularly attracted to the boys at her school, no matter how much her best friend, Vee, pushes them at her. Not until Patch came along.

With his easy smile and eyes that seem to see inside her, Nora is drawn to him against her better judgment.

But after a series of terrifying encounters, Nora's not sure who to trust. Patch seems to be everywhere she is, and to know more about her than her closest friends. She can't decide whether she should fall into his arms or run and hide. And when she tries to seek some answers, she finds herself near a truth that is way more unsettling than anything Patch makes her feel.

For Nora is right in the middle of an ancient battle between the immortal and those that have fallen - and, when it comes to choosing sides, the wrong choice will cost her life. "

I honestly was not that much thrilled about reading this book, it was one of those "last moment" books I had put on my Christmass wishlist, but it was on there!. But I was greatly surprised by this book, it is really good. I just finished it today and yeah I thought it was completely and utterly AMAZING, couldn't get enough of it, seriously. Patch is my new favorite charecter, he is just so..uh... sexy!, honestly, and I like how straight-foward he is, and how funny he is in a way. Now for the english teacher in me. Patch is a dynamic charecter because he changes throughout the story, I would tell you how but that would ruin the book, being that the way he changes is the PLOT of the book. I wonder if because he was "fallen", I wonder if that's why he is a bad boy and ends being sort of less of a bad boy but yeah, still a bad boy. The charecters are well developed and you seriously really can like, get into the book, it's really good. The author is really descriptive and the book is really sensual and seductive, obviously because of Patch, being that he's really seductive. I dont get why people are relating this book to the Twilight saga books, there's no wolves nor vampires in this book, theres angels though. I loved this book so much, and there is never a dull moment, it' never boring, and it's a very good book and it is on the top of my list of favorite books right now :)

The Awakening by Kelley Armstrong

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 240px; height: 320px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_nYNgO2PMOQI/S0oy0M9k5II/AAAAAAAAACo/ckpipVKt3QA/s320/400000000000000158432_s4.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5425204573535265922" />

Here is the summary from Barnes and Noble: "If you had met me a few weeks ago, you probably would have described me as an average teenage girl — someone normal. Now my life has changed forever and I'm as far away from normal as it gets. A living science experiment — not only can I see ghosts, but I was genetically altered by a sinister organization called the Edison Group. What does that mean? For starters, I'm a teenage necromancer whose powers are out of control; I raise the dead without even trying. Trust me, that is not a power you want to have. Ever.

Now I'm running for my life with three of my supernatural friends — a charming sorcerer, a cynical werewolf, and a disgruntled witch — and we have to find someone who can help us before the Edison Group finds us first. Or die trying. "

 This book was really good, most sequels tend to spend a lot of time "getting into" what the book is going to be about, but from the second I started reading it, it went RIGHT into the story, it started off basically right where the summoning left off. There is never a dull moment. This book is definately not simmilar to the summoning. There all on the run for there lives from the edison group the whole time and it's a bit more realistic if you ask me. The charecters are developed well and you go deeper into there personalities of who they really are, especially with Derek and Simon, and you see Tori loosen up a little bit. It is a really good book and I highly recommend it, allthough you might want to read the first book in the series though :)

SHIVER by Maggie Stiefvater

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 218px; height: 320px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_nYNgO2PMOQI/S0DOBDQiEKI/AAAAAAAAACg/3FX8HRV0sW0/s320/shiver-final-cover.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5422560468803915938" />

Summary from Barnes and Noble: "For years, Grace has watched the wolves in the woods behind her house. One yellow-eyed wolf--her wolf--is a chilling presence she can't seem to live without. Meanwhile, Sam has lived two lives: In winter, the frozen woods, the protection of the pack, and the silent company of a fearless girl. In summer, a few precious months of being human . . . until the cold makes him shift back again.

Now, Grace meets a yellow-eyed boy whose familiarity takes her breath away. It's her wolf. It has to be. But as winter nears, Sam must fight to stay human--or risk losing himself, and Grace, forever. "

I just finished this book about 10 or 15 minutes ago. I'm still in shock from the ending. It was really good. I will say, it took me a long time to be completely dragged into the book but it was really worth it. The book was really poetic and it was very descriptive. I loved it. The charecters are really well developed, it makes you feel like your in the story with them. I dont know if anyone else noticed this but music plays a great role in the story, and so does books/poetry. Not to give any spoilers away but SAM is allways thinking up song lyrics in his head. This book is definately different from all the books on the market now, it dosent nessesarily have an EXACT problem that MUST be solved, and that's good.

Rebel Angels by Libba Bray

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 208px; height: 320px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_nYNgO2PMOQI/SzOa41KYTgI/AAAAAAAAACY/JHHGfYG6aOE/s320/12234368.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5418845077790805506" />

Rebel Angels by libba bray is a really good book. I thought it was kind of better than the first book, A Great And Terrible Beauty. But A Great And Terrible Beauty is still an amazing book. I was deeply "into" Rebel Angels from the very beginning, there was never a boring moment in it. It is definately a good read. There are lots of twists and turns, and wow you will be surprised by the outcome of who is Circe!, I sure was. The technique Libba Bray uses to write the book is very good, it like, hmm I dont know, amazing!, it flows really well, there are lot of very normal moments, and there are a lot of very supernatural/paranormal moments, and there a lot of in between moments. You can really feel like you are in the book, I mean the charecters are really believable, and you can relate to them if you have any of there problems, except for the whole "realms" thing.

Here is the summary from Barnes And Noble:

Gemma Doyle is looking forward to a holiday from Spence Academy—spending time with her friends in the city, attending balls in fancy gowns with plunging necklines, and dallying with the handsome Lord Denby. Yet amid these distractions, her visions intensify—visions of three girls dressed in white, to whom something horrific has happened that only the realms can explain.

The lure is strong, and soon Gemma, Felicity, and Ann are turning flowers into butterflies in the enchanted world that Gemma takes them to. To the girls' great joy, their beloved Pippa is there as well, eager to complete their circle of friendship.

But all is not well in the realms—or out. Kartik is back, desperately insisting to Gemma that she must bind the magic, lest colossal disaster befall her. Gemma is willing to comply, for this would bring her face-to-face with her late mother's greatest friend, now Gemma's foe—Circe. Until Circe is destroyed, Gemma cannot live out her destiny. But finding Circe proves a most perilous task. . . .

This sumptuous companion to A Great and Terrible Beauty teems with Victorian thrills and chills that play out against the rich backdrop of 1895 London, a place of shadows and light . . . where inside great beauty can lie a rebel angel

Reading has got me mesmerized

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 274px; height: 320px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_nYNgO2PMOQI/SyHHklVuJAI/AAAAAAAAACQ/DvJplYtQP9w/s320/booktree.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5413827658388481026" />
Okay I know I shouldn't me making this blog at 11:11pm on a schoolnight, but I can not help myself. Ok, as far as I'm concerned, I have been reading since 5pm today, I would have been reading sonner than that if it wasn't for school and if it wasn't for going to the grocery store after school. But anywhoo, the book I'm reading is called "Beautiful Creatures" by Kami Garcia and Margaret Stohl. This book is AMAZING!, sadly I'll finish it tomorrow, I wish it could last forever, but atleast there will be 4 more more books to come in the series! yay!. But have you ever been so into a book that you have lost track of what is going on around you and your like, mesmerized by the book because you love it so much and you are so interested in it and focused and love what is going on and it is like your in the book?! literally!, Oh my goodness, if you say yes then isn't it awsome!, time just flies by and when you look at the clock when you stop being mesmerized your like "WHOA! time flew right by!", yeah, reading is that fun isn't it? :)

The Host, Stephenie Meyer, Book - Barnes & Noble

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 206px; height: 320px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_nYNgO2PMOQI/SyAbu-iW-_I/AAAAAAAAACI/zbRLcU0X2lk/s320/threhost.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5413357245974379506" />

The Host, Stephenie Meyer, Book - Barnes & Noble: "Melanie Stryder refuses to fade away. The earth has been invaded by a species that take over the minds of their human hosts while leaving their bodies intact, and most of humanity has succumbed.

Wanderer, the invading 'soul' who has been given Melanie's body, knew about the challenges of living inside a human: the overwhelming emotions, the too vivid memories. But there was one difficulty Wanderer didn't expect: the former tenant of her body refusing to relinquish possession of her mind.

Melanie fills Wanderer's thoughts with visions of the man Melanie loves-Jared, a human who still lives in hiding. Unable to separate herself from her body's desires, Wanderer yearns for a man she's never met. As outside forces make Wanderer and Melanie unwilling allies, they set off to search for the man they both love.

Featuring what may be the first love triangle involving only two bodies, THE HOST is a riveting and unforgettable novel that will bring a vast new readership to one of the most compelling writers of our time."

Okay, who ever READS, has probably read this, since the twilight saga is so popular. I read the host all the way back in about september 09', and it was a really good book. I loved the atmosphere of the book and the book is so easy to get completely mesmerized by it because your so into it and it's so good!. From what I have heard there is going to be a sequle to the host, probably not for a long time though, because she said she wants to take a break or something, but I can't wait nonetheless. The charecters in this book are completely amazing, now at first I did NOT like Ian, I thought , I dont know, that he was ummm, well I just didn't like him, ha!. But towards the end of the story his, as well as Jared's emotions shine through and it is such a rush!. I absolutely love it and I can't wait for the movie! I bet you Hot Topic is going to merchandise the host a lot like there doing with the twilight saga, who knows? :)

Fallen

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 212px; height: 320px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_nYNgO2PMOQI/Sx7yzo_rBmI/AAAAAAAAACA/GIq6A6LYxwg/s320/fallen.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5413030771137644130" />

So, I can't help myself, this is my second blog today, and I'm happy to be posting a second blog post today, I couldn't help it :). And Gemma takes her friends that are part of her group into the realms, which is a place beyond sleep I'm presuming, I can't really explain the realms well. And HONESTLY, it's a really good book and if I keep on telling you about the summary I'll probably give the whole book away. So now for the review. A great and terrible beauty is a really good book, one of my friends let me borrow it after I let her read Prophecy Of The Sisters. The ending is really sad, not to give anything away but it has to do with a girl not wanting to marry a man she does not love at all, so she hides, no, I wouldn't say hides, she stays somewhere with her true love that she created, but that's ALL i'm giving away. It's set in the late late late 1800's I think, I can't really remember, I finished it about 2 weeks ago. It is so SEXIST!, especially Gemma;s brother. I feel so bad for the girls, they are being forced by there parents or whoever to learn how to feel, how to eat, how to breathe, how to dress , how to talk, how to act, how to EVERYTHING, they have completely no free will, and they are taught all these things only to please there future husband? see how sexist that is?! ha. But anywho, the plot is sort of scattered, so that's why I couldn't explain the summary well, but that's a good thing!, I like books that have multiple plots, and I wouldn't say this book has multiple plots, but it has multiple situations going on. There is somewhat of a love story going on it with one of the rakshana( I think thats what they are called, not sure). But its a really good book and I give it 10/10. :)

Hold Still book review

Okay, well this book is seriously really good. It's a tad bit short for me, only about 230 pages but that's just fine for me, as long as its good, now if it was 130 pages then we have a problem. But anyways, I liked it, it is a different book but that's the beauty in it, it's not your average book, it's about a girl and her best friend ingirid killed herself, and the girl finds Ingirid's journal, and it's the girl's story of recovering from her best friend killing herself. I's inspirational and hopefull, and it's not completely miserable like you would think it would be. It's really good, I highly recommend it! :)

Beautiful Creatures

The summary of this book sounds pretty good, I think it comes out in December 1st or so. But this book is definately on my christmass wishlist. Here is a quote from the summary of the book from barnes and noble:

"There were no surprises in Gatlin County.
We were pretty much the epicenter of the middle of nowhere.
Atleast, thats what I thought.
Turns out I couldn't have been more wrong.
There was a curse.
There was a girl.
And in the end, there was a grave."

Now from that quote I can tell it's really dark and eerie, and when I read the rest of the summary, it takes place in the south and it is a dark romance, but there is definately more to it, it's not just a romance novel, even though I haven't read it, yet, I just know that it's going to be extremely amazing! I cant wait to get it.

The Summoning by Kelley Armstrong

Okay first off, this book is completely amazing, I loved every second of reading it. It is really good, I spent 6 whole hours reading the rest of the book today, yeah, it's that good, I definately recommend it.
